David prides himself on his lifelong journey towards his goals. “I’ve wanted to make films since the age of eight when my mother owned a movie theater called The Bijou. My dream was sparked there, looking out a projectionist’s window. It’s been a long road of learning and growing as an artist.”
After attending Hofstra University, David started his career pursuits in acting, having a quick stint in Los Angeles and landing an audition with Frances Ford Coppola for On The Road. “It got exciting for a moment, but this experience changed the way I wanted to approach my career development. I grew up exploring acting, when what I really wanted was the ability to roll up my sleeves and make a film.”
David’s career in production started literally from the ground up, “I had a three legged desk, it was a L-corner of a bigger desk, and I literally had to hold it up with my right leg when I put weight on it. This was the best possible place to learn because you had to do it all, no departments, just long hours and hard work that paid off.”
David moved on to help create what is now TRG-RAGAMUFFIN. “It’s a blessing to have clients that are such household named brands; it’s kind of crazy, how do you keep climbing when you are often working with the absolute top in the game.”
Over David’s twelve year professional directing career he has created television programming, commercials, marketing and promotional imagery, electronic publicity, satellite and new media broadcasting, domestic and international event / multi-camera production, original long format programming and a ton of assorted branded content.
He produces & directs using a variety of creative media including film, video, graphics and emerging technologies.
David prides himself on his work ethic, creative instincts and overall tenacity to succeed in this challenging business.
