DAVE BAEZ is a multi-media performance artist/writer/director working with TRG-RAGAMUFFIN as an associate producer/development consultant. Dave received his BA from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth where he majored in video design, creative writing and theater studies. As a member of the U-MASS theater company he played many leading roles and co-founded The Experimental Stage, which provided the campus with an open forum for free speech and unconventional theater. Through the Experimental Stage Dave began exploring his aspirations to produce and direct.
Dave moved down to Miami, Florida after graduation and continued working in theater, film and television making his professional acting debut at the Hollywood Playhouse in Hollywood, Florida while also working as a production assistant/grip on a number of television and film productions. It was while in Miami when Dave was first introduced to the world of fashion and advertising. Since then he has shot with such legendary photographers as Peter Lindberg, Bruce Weber, Mario Testino, Albert Watson, Sante D'Orazio, David LaChapelle among others, appearing in numerous ad campaigns, editorials, fashion shows and commercials for such clients as Ralph Lauren, Versace,The Gap, Brooks Brothers, Buegal Boy, Structure, Champion, Chevrolet, Buick, Sprite, Caress and Verizone just to name a few.
Dave continued developing his own artistic aesthetic while living in New York by co-producing, directing and performing in a number of Off Broadway plays for The Absolute Theater Company's annual Urban Fairytales Festival which was very well received by different members of the entertainment industry, most notably Al Pacino, whose generous financial contribution allowed the company to travel and produce the festival in Los Angeles in 2003. Dave moved to Los Angeles and quickly began landing lead roles in television and film, most recently playing a reoccurring role on Showtime’s hit new show “Dexter”. He has also played reoccurring roles on the popular NBC show "Las Vegas” as well as Darren Star’s Imagine Television produced show “Miss Match” starring Alicia Silverstone and Ryan O’Neil. Currently Dave has three independent films slated for release in 2008.
